Beware! You just might fall in love with Bikram Yoga your first day! I did! That was 12 years ago and I still love it. You will too, just take it slow and listen to your teachers, we’re here to help you!
-
Bikram Yoga is beginner’s yoga. Everyone welcome. Bikram yoga was designed for Westerners with bad backs and bad knees and junk bodies. That’s you! Bikram yoga is a 26 posture series practiced in a heated room. In the beginning, a student may feel all kinds of horrible things, headaches, tired, sore, sick…… all bad stuff and toxins coming out of the body. Over time, these symptoms go away and you feel light and amazing. You just have to get through the bad to get to the good. Don’t be scarred!
-
Choose a time that is convenient for you. Commit to a regular practice. Once a week, twice a week, everyday, do what you can on a regular basis. You want to feel great regularly, then practice regularly.
-
Do not eat at least 2 hours before class unless you are super hungry! Then eat lightly so you can bend forward and touch your toes!
-
New students arrive 20 minutes prior to class to complete a registration form. Outside doors locked during class so everyone get here on time! This is to ensure that all of our valuables are safe.
-
Booking are not required but can be made online. The more the better as we thrive on group energy! Bring a friend and a smile and leave your worries at the door! You get a $5 credit on your account for every friend you bring in with you. Thanks for your support and turning people on to this awesome practice of yoga.

Bikram Yoga is practiced in a 38-40 degrees room. Dress lightly, shorts and sports tops. The lighter dressed you are, the happier you will be.
-
No Shoes in the studio please. Shoe rack at front door.
-
No perfume, oils, moisturizer or make-up to be worn during class. Make-up ends up in your eyes, up your nose and in your mouth! Yuck! Smells, smell. No smells please, nice or otherwise! No jewelery or watches, don’t need them. Time will pass no matter what.
-
Please tell us of any injuries, big or small. We are here to advise and help. Yoga is about healing not hurting.
-
Bring a yoga mat, large towel, and bottle of water. We have mats for hire $2, towels $3 and water for sale $3 and mats for sale. New Manduka mats are in as well as the lighter and cheaper Bikram mats.
-
Please turn your phone off and no talking on phones in the studio. Peace
-
Only water is allowed in the yoga room. Please no brightly colored drinks that will stain the carpet if spilled. Please come well hydrated and be prepared to sweat! Bring an extra towel, or 2 if you want a shower afterwards.
-
No talking in yoga room. The yoga room is for silence and alone time. Just lie back on your mat and take a break.
-
Bikram Yoga is about group energy! We stay in the hot yoga room together and suffer together (no sneaking out!) Respect the others by being present with them even if you are sitting down. No one is here to judge you. Trust me, no one has the energy to judge you while they are upside down and twisted in a knot! Do 1% right, build your practice slowly and consistently and you will get all the medical benefits.
-
If you feel nauseous, dizzy or overwhelmed throughout the class, Congratualtions! You have done everything right! Think you can run a marathon on the first day? Just listen to us, your teachers, and we will guide you through your torture session. Not to worry, soon you will be kicking butt. Just listen carefully and never say, “can’t!”
Come in with an open mind, leave with an open heart!
