Teachers

We have only fully dedicated and certified Bikram teachers.

“My voice, Bikram’s words, your body”.  Wisdom is knowledge gained through experience. This yoga is what we know to be true. With consistent, patient practice, time on the mat, working with our own injuries, limitations and beliefs, we bring the body and mind into balance and health. Strong bodies and  strong minds are the proof of the power of this yoga. Here is a letter form a former student that I loved and would like to share. We are passionate about what we teach.

Hi Peggy,
I recently left Queenstown for the north island to pursue professional work. Up until a few days ago, Bikram Yoga Queenstown was the only studio I had practiced in. You, Kelly and Nicci were the only instructors I had worked with. While attending a bikram session in a new studio, in a new city; I confirmed a notion I already suspected to be true. You and your staff are outstanding teachers and operate a top notch studio.
I felt like I had joined a close knit group of people from the very first time I walked in. I was always addressed by my first name as were all the other students. When beginners attended class, the instructors took the time to explain each posture, give advice, and offer encouragement. I noticed that you were particularly skilled at absorbing details of your students’ practice; quickly recognizing and pointing out both improvements and setbacks. Over a short period of time, I learned exactly what the desired result of each posture was, even if I could not achieve it. I also felt consistently challenged at Bikram Yoga Queenstown. My instructors were very good about pushing me to beyond my perceived limits. I never felt like I was listening to a robot call out memorized commands to a group of drones.
I just wanted to send drop you line and tell you guys to keep up the good work! I stuck with Bikram yoga because you inspired me to. If I attended my first class in the studio I practiced in a few days ago, I honestly don’t think I would still be doing yoga today.
All the best,

Robert Romero

I started doing Bikram Yoga randomly. Never doing yoga of any kind before, I saw a sign one day advertising Bikram Yoga covered in flames. The sign looked awesome and I thought yoga might help my knee. I had recently torn my ACL and meniscus snowboarding. So, I grabbed a schedule and an hour later …
